About
Shruti Nagvanshi is a women and child rights activist and icon for rising of marginalized and rural women in India. She is one of the founding members of People's Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR). Her commitment and continuous twenty five years of work for rights of women has become exemplary.Her work with marginalized communities mainly untouchable caste known as dalit,women and children in eastern part of UP is hard to replicate.
Her son, Kabeer Karunik is national level snooker player. She founded the People's Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR) in 1996, along with her life partner, Lenin Raghuvanshi, historian Mahendra Pratap, musician Vikash Maharaj, and poet Gyanedra Pati. Both she and Lenin are converts to Buddhism.
